Pennsylvania Will Close Two State Centers For Intellectually Disabled

The Department of Human Services  state plans to close two centers for individuals  bearing intellectual/developmental disabilities. The centers in question are located at Polk State Center in Venango County and White Haven State Center in Luzerne County. Court Hands Truckers Defeat In PA Turnpike Toll Suit

High tolls on the Pennsylvania Turnpike do not violate the right of truckers and other motorists to travel between states, a federal appeals court ruled Tuesday, upholding a lower-court dismissal of a lawsuit against state agencies and officials.  The ruling upheld a federal judge’s decision in April to dismiss the lawsuit by the Missouri-based Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association.
