Tom serves as a Senior Consultant for the KSA Group. Tom brings extensive campaign, communications and strategic planning skills to the firm. He performs a wide range of duties, including coalition building, community outreach and tactical research. He is heavily involved with our energy, transportation, economic development, and community affairs practice.
Prior to joining KSA, Tom worked in the Pennsylvania State Senate for the Democratic Caucus. Tom has held a variety of positions as a staffer in the State Senate eventually rising to District Director for the Democratic State Senate Transportation Chairman. Tom was responsible for handling complex issues in all areas of state government with primary focus on community and economic development as well as transportation. He has worked with a variety of county and local governments along with countless private sector businesses. In his role in the Senate, he served as the primary interface with state agencies, members of the PA House of Representatives, and economic development agencies for a District encompassing 3 counties and 250,000 constituents.
Separate from his role in the PA State Senate, Tom also has experience working as a community affairs consultant at the local level. In the Community Affairs consulting role, Tom worked as part of an integrated campaign-style approach to addressing issues at the local and community level. As a Community Affairs consultant, Tom served in a key role in educating the public on Energy related matters.
Tom serves on the Small Business Development Center Advisory Committee at St. Francis University. He also is a member of the advisory committee to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Program at St. Francis University.
