Top Lobbyist partnering to reflect Changes in Pennsylvania Governance

HARRISBURG (January 19, 2015) KSA Group Opens Office in Harrisburg. Top Lobbyist partnering to reflect Changes in Pennsylvania Governance.

Veteran Harrisburg-based lobbyist Lou Crocco announced today that the newly formed Keystone Strategic Advocacy Group, known as the KSA Group, has opened its office in Harrisburg.  The KSA Group offices will be located at 205 State Street, just steps away from the State Capitol.

“I am excited to be able to bring together a select bi-partisan group of individuals to form a top tier advocacy firm,” Crocco said.  “This approach reflects a prevailing trend in both government and the business world – assembling a diverse group of individuals who share their talents, experience and expertise on an as-needed basis for the benefit of the organization’s clientele.”

The KSA Group will be directed by Crocco who has over 20 years of combined legislative and lobbying experience.  Crocco served in a variety of staff positions with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, including Executive Director of the House Republican Policy Committee.   After leaving service in the Pennsylvania Legislature, Crocco worked as Pennsylvania Managing Director of Duane Morris Government Affairs and with the Washington, DC based firm of Abraham and Roetzel.  He will continue his legal work as Of Counsel with Roetzel Andress.

Partnering with Crocco will be Kimberly Contino, former Legal Counsel to Pennsylvania Senate Whip David J. “Chip” Brightbill and Counsel to the Consumer Affairs Committee in the House of Representatives. Enjoying 20 years of legislative and government relations experience, Contino formerly held lobbying positions with S. R. Wodjak and Associates, Abraham and Roetzel Government Affairs, and she also served as Vice President for the PA Association for the Blind. Crocco said, “Our team has decades of experience setting policy and problem solving in and outside the halls of the Capitol.  In 2015, we look forward to helping our clients make Pennsylvania a better place to live.”

Also joining the team is Scott Cooper.  Cooper just completed serving as Co-Chair of Governor Tom Wolf’s transition team for state government.  He is widely known as a go-to guy in the State Capitol.  Cooper was an early advocate for new Governor Tom Wolf in his campaign for Governor. He will serve as a consultant to the firm while maintaining his legal practice full time as a Partner with Schmidt Kramer PC.  Crocco indicated that this balance and political diversity brings strength and will help further distinguish the group’s value proposition. Crocco asserted, “I appreciate and value Scott’s opinion. Scott’s insight and extremely close relationships in the Executive and Legislative branches will add incredible service and value to our clients and prospective clients.”

The Pennsylvania House and Senate are both controlled by the largest Republican Majorities in modern history at the same time Pennsylvania has newly elected Democrat Governor.  Crocco noted, “There is now a power sharing dynamic in Pennsylvania Government.  We have the ability to present good public policy initiatives across the political spectrum and in every branch of government.”

Other members of the KSA team of consultants include:
